Gettin' it together

Good Sunday to you. This is my first blog and still in the process of creating the page.
Things slowed down this Sunday from last week, Easter Sunday. Marlys & I are volunteers (guest services for 1st attenders) at our great church, The Rock Church (TRC) (www.therockchurch.info), in Monroe WA. We're a medium-sized (about 1000+ each week) non-denominational church. Our mission is "Connecting People to Life" - that's Life with a capital "L". Didn't Jesus say He came to give us life and life more abundantly? Yes, He did.
Worship is important at TRC because by it we are corporately brought into God's presence with the anticipation of hearing from Him. And what a worship team we have! Some may call it entertainment, but call it what you want, if you pour your heart into it, it surpasses entertainment. Perhaps some of the on-lookers called it entertainment when King David was so excited he danced before the Lord, but I'll bet the King called it worship!
My desire is to communicate Life through this medium. I love fun things and the fun of life. To be sure, I'm a realist and know that life is not 100% fun and joy, but at this age I think I've learned some of the 'hows' and 'whys' we have to rise above those tough times. Perhaps in time I'll share some of the rough times as they seem appropriate.
God's bless to each of you that share this with me.
