Still building

I'm adding a little bit here and there making adjustments and corrections to this blog, just like the the work that God is doing with me. I have a vision of how I want the site to look, and God has the same for me. We're both working on the end result.

We have a home group - we call them Regional Reach Teams (RRT's), others call them Home Fellowships - meeting this week. We have them twice a month so that as the corporate body at The Rock Church (TRC) gets larger, we can still stay intimate each one in our group allowing us to meet needs and hear praise reports that don't get brought up in the busy Sunday morning meeting. What we do is follow-up on the previous Sunday's message so that we can re-enforce the nuggets that highlight the word passed on to us. This age of technology lets the RRT leaders all follow the same format so that we are in unison. This doesn't mean there is not room for added input as that is encouraged through questions, both rhetorical and those requiring response.

One of our emphases at TRC is serving our community. One way we do it is planning and presenting special events such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. Of course we're now planning for Mother's Day and plan to blow the doors off again this year. Last year we gave a car to a special woman who runs a ministry that provides support for families of incarerated men. So we're looking forward to great things.

If you have stumbled into this blog - or perhaps intentionally made your way here - thanks for reading and any comments you wish to make. God is good.
