What a great day in church today! The Rock Church specializes in giving and today is a special day to give. We offer all the mothers in church to make a wish, which are reviewed by the staff (about 8 or 10 people) then they choose the ones they can grant. A lot are submitted by single moms, older moms who have needs. Today the church gave: 2 vehicles, 2 dishwashers, spa and massage treatments, overnight stays in places like Salish Inn (very upscale place) and numerous smaller wishes. We do this because we love people and enjoy connecting them to Life. One of our (The Rock Church's) greatest desires is that other churches get the giving spirit we have: it touches so many lives.
My lovely bride submitted a wish that blew me away: she wanted her hair color changed from the gray (she is aging beautifully) to her natural color, brunette with a touch of auburn. Surprise, she got it granted. She is excited - so am I, for her.

Our mother was the youngest mother in the state (at least - perhaps the region) to give birth to twins - she was only 15: scary! - Married to Marlys for almost 51 years (seems like only 5 years) - Blessed with 6 children, 13 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren (best part: most live nearby) - Can't get to the place where I want to retire - but Marlys says, "Pretty soon." - Spent over 25 years in Alaska and still love the place - but kids and gr'kids all live in 'Lower 48'.

Grandma! I didn't know your natural hair color was the same as mine! You can't tell from those black and white photos... :) Do you have a picture of this new 'do? I'd love to see!
